- Registration for the 2012 LIVESTRONG Austin Marathon and Half Marathon® is OPEN! Click here.

All registered participants of the Austin Marathon and Austin Half Marathon will receive an event T-shirt at packet pickup during the Expo. All official finishers of the Austin Marathon and Austin Half Marathon will receive a finisher medal.

Paramount Break-a-Leg 5k registrations will be accepted HERE when 5k registration opens. (Switching from the Austin Marathon® or Austin Half Marathon® to the Paramount 5k is not permitted.)
- Race participation caps are: Austin Half Marathon® 12,000 runners / Austin Marathon® 6,000 runners.
- The LIVESTRONG Austin Marathon and Half Marathon® discourages anyone under the age of 16 from participating in this event.
- The following are prohibited from the course: no dogs, baby joggers/strollers, in-line skates, bicycles, and any other non-official wheeled vehicles.
- iPODS and other music players are PERMITTED. However, for your safety and others', please be aware of your surroundings. If you are competing as a Pro or Elite, please check USATF for rules pertaining to music players in your divisions.
- THERE IS NO RACE DAY PACKET PICK-UP OR REGISTRATION.
- ENTRY FEES ARE NOT REFUNDABLE OR TRANSFERABLE.The Austin Marathon and Half Marathon® has a strict no-transfer policy. Athletes may not give or sell their entry to anyone else. Any athlete who is found to have given away or sold their race entry could be permanently banned from competing in the Austin Marathon and Half Marathon®.

Manage Your Registration:
- SWITCHES of race categories will be available for the 2012 race starting on November 1, 2011 at 12:01 am until January 31, 2012 at 11:59 pm, or sell out of the category you want to switch into. If the race cateogry is still open, anyone who is interested in officially switching categories after February 1st will be allowed to do so during expo hours at the Data Change booth. Switches to and from the Paramount 5k are not permitted.
- DEFERRALS are available beginning on February 1 - 15. Cost to defer your 2012 registration to 2013 will be $60. If you deferred your registration in 2011 to compete in the 2012 you will not be allowed to defer the 2012 registration to 2013.
- CONFIRM your registration or REQUEST AN ADDITIONAL CONFIRMATION email. Be sure to use the exact email that you registered with!
