Come join us as we Run/Walk the LIVESTRONG Austin Marathon and Half Marathon® on February 19, 2012.  Our Run/Walk Program will have you crossing the finish line and remain injury free while training.  Training begins July 23 for the Austin Marathon. Our Austin Half Marathon Training Program will begin November 6 with a kickoff. This will be both a Saturday or Sunday training, runners choice. You don't have to do this program alone just bring a friend or two and you have a 98% chance you'll still be friends after the program. Our Galloway Program is now in 80 cities and has helped over 250,000 runners meet their goals!

The Rogue LIVESTRONG Austin Marathon and Half Marathon® training programs are designed to prepare all levels of runners for the Austin Marathon® or the Austin Half Marathon®.  Rogue Running has been preparing runners for the LIVESTRONG Austin Marathon and Half Marathon® for 7 years.  We boast a wide range of training locations around town, discounts for members to purchase shoes, apparel and accessories at our store, clinics designed to educate runners about nutrition, injury prevention, and race strategy.   Former marathon participant Rebecca Yacono said, "Rogue did it again! Its mission is to create a community, and that's what they did. The training, the organization, and the coaching motivated me and helped me do my best, and the community reinforced that. Team FX is a diverse group of men and women from the Austin film community (directors, producers, editors, fx artists, cinematographers, etc., and friends … but all are welcome), who partner with local business leaders to help end the cycle of child abuse & neglect in our own community. We do that by training to run the Austin Marathon® and to run or walk the Austin Half Marathon®, while generating awareness and raising funds for the Austin Children's Shelter. To date, our members have been awarded a total of 83 medals, spread the word, and raised nearly $100,000.

Our 27-week training program begins with walking a mile, so all levels are welcome. From there, we teach injury-free training in a fun, non-competitive, non-judgmental environment, stay present with our personal goals, celebrate our weekly progress, and support each other along the way.

Tri Zones Training offers a 20-week program to get you ready for the LIVESTRONG Austin Marathon and Half Marathon®.  We offer camaraderie and support for runners of all abilities.  Coaches will focus on improvements in running form and technique, will help you improve your speed, and will increase your endurance.  We believe strongly in a wise training program that includes cross training and appropriate recovery. 

Participation in Tri Zones Training includes speed and strength work at the track, core and balance guidance, online access to coaches, team tent at the finish line of the team's goal races, discounts from our sponsors, and detailed information about running shoes, technical apparel, nutrition, hydration, stretching, injury prevention, and recovery.

Luke’s Locker has partnered with USA Fit and is now managing the Austin Fit Training Program that prepares individuals to run or walk the Austin Half Marathon and Austin Marathon. We have over 60 USA Fit Certified coaches who run or walk with our participants during all of the long runs.  
Our training philosophy focuses on quality over quantity and we believe that anyone can run or walk a half or full marathon. Our goal is to make training fun while at the same time keeping participants healthy and injury-free.  This philosophy allows everyone to line up on race day feeling prepared and confident in their training!  In addition, Koala Sports Medicine is onsite every Saturday to provide free therapeutic massage, stretching, and injury evaluation to keep our participants spending more time running or walking and less time on the sidelines!
Our weekly group runs/walks take place on Saturday mornings at 6:50 a.m. at 150 E. Riverside (TxDOT) next to Lady Bird Lake. We also have informal weekday group workouts located all over Austin. We have pace groups for all running and walking levels including our new Advanced Training Program (ATP). ATP meets 3 times a week with 3 coaches who guide our participants to achieving a personal best.  It is for anyone who has already completed a half or full marathon and is looking for more intensity. The pace range for ATP is from 6:30-10:30 minutes per mile.

Registration and Cost (26 weeks of training)
•    $100 for new members for Austin Fit and $125 for the ATP program
•     In-Person Registration is on-going. Online registration is open through Oct. 1st, 2011.

Whether you are looking to complete your first half marathon or full marathon, or you are an experienced runner, Texas Iron will help you reach your goals in a positive and hard working environment. Built around some of the local road racing schedule, this program is periodized to help you reach your true potential. Top level coaches work with you individually to improve your form and running efficiency. Results come from consistency in training through appropriate workouts, injury prevention and strengthening work. Learn from experienced and proven coaches how to run faster, smarter and with less effort. The Texas Iron half marathon and marathon run program includes two coached workouts a week and a detailed workout plan to follow outside of group workouts. The group will meet Tuesday evenings at Barton Springs and Sunday mornings for the long run workout.

The "Bucket List Challenge" is a 12 week program leading up to the Austin Half Marathon.  Athletes can choose between two programs: one that includes 3x/week CrossFit workouts, plus 2 additional interval run sessions.  While the second option, the athlete maintains their current workout routine, plus two coached interval track workouts, and a run homework assignment. 


In short: CFE offers endurance athletes a dynamic, effective and proven way to train for any type of competition while simultaneously allowing you to have a life outside of training.

Team Asha is a premier endurance sports program that gives every runner the chance to discover not only the benefits of running but also the joy of changing the lives of countless children for the better with each step. Our runners raise awareness and funds to support projects by Asha for Education, an apolitical, secular organization dedicated to creating positive socio-economic change in India primarily through education of the underprivileged. Since its inception in 2000, Team Asha has trained over 1000+ runners and raised more than $2m nationwide. Since 2004, the Austin program has successfully enabled more than 245 runners from different walks of life to complete a full or a half marathon and raise over $345,000. The training program not only provides expert coaching through our partnership with USA Fit Austin and USA Fit Round Rock, but also a great mentor program to add a personal touch, along with other social activities and a lot of fun.
